The audience lies on the floor in a large circle and looks up to the sky. Above them, in a giant mirror, eight dancers appear, also in a circle. They are in constant motion, creating symmetrical figures and taking on a whole host of forms and shapes as the light varies, like images in a kaleidoscope. Creatures may appear from the oceans, flora and fauna – the only limit is your own imagination.
MIRKIDS is based on a magical stage installation which shows dance from a completely new point of view. With the audience lying back and letting themselves sink into a fascinating world of colour and sound which comes and goes before their very eyes, they are able to see exactly what their own imagination is creating.
