Schweizer Theatertreffen 2025 in Zug und Luzern

Across five intensive festival days, the Swiss Theatertreffen will bring highlights of the 2024 Swiss theatre season to Zug and Lucerne. The centre of the festival will be the Theater Casino Zug, which will host audiences, artists and other people involved in the theatre from all around Switzerland. They will be coming to watch the outstanding theatre productions of the previous year on stage, to talk about the dramatic arts and treat themselves to a glass of wine or the ever-popular theatre brunch while having a chat in any and all of the country’s languages. In partnership with the Luzerner Theater, Südpol Luzern, the Burgbachkeller, the Chollerhalle, Galvanik, the Kinder- und Jugendtheater Zug and the Gewürzmühle, the Theater Casino Zug is bringing the most important event in the Swiss theatre calendar to Central Switzerland for the first time. For over a decade now, the Swiss Theatertreffen has shown outstanding productions from all regions in Switzerland in various languages (with German subtitles) and provided a rich framework programme of drama and culturally-relevant topics for experts and the general public. The opening will take place on the main stage at the Theater Casino Zug. The selection of around half-a-dozen outstanding theatrical productions from 2024 will be published in March 2025, along with the definitive locations in Zug and Lucerne.
