Katrin Maiwald

Katrin Maiwald is a theatre educator, director and dramaturge in the performing arts for young audiences. She grew up near Tübingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. After studying theatre science, German language and literature and theatre studies in Berlin and Dublin, as well as working as an assistant at the Theater an der Parkaue Berlin (D), she worked as a dramaturg and theatre mediator at the Landestheater Linz (A) and the Staatstheater Mainz (D). Most recently she worked as a senior theatre mediator at Theater der Jungen Welt in Leipzig (D). Katrin Maiwald has been a board member of ASSITEJ e.V. Germany since 2022 and a member of the editorial team of the professional journal Ixypsilonzett, which is published regularly by Theater der Zeit, since 2023. Parallel to her freelance activities 2023 in Leipzig (D) and Winterthur (CH), among others, Katrin Maiwald has been a theatre educator at Theater Casino Zug since September 2023.
